Note
from the President
Hello,
Are you missing out on opportunities?
At the beginning of the year,
I redesigned the website for my coaching practice and started tracking
referrals. Each month, I consistently receive more traffic generated
from the CoachInc.com "Find a Coach" website (a/k/a the
International Coach Directory) than other websites and search engines.
On one hand, I wasn't
surprised at all to learn this because the Find a Coach website receives a lot
of monthly traffic - it appears to be well-known with consumers and
organizations. However, after conducting a little research, I discovered
that out of over 2,000 Personal Coaches listed, only 43 (yes, 43!) have full
paid listings and out of over 1,800 Business Coaches listed only 53 have full
paid listings. Considering that there are estimates of over 30,000 practicing
professional coaches, it isn't difficult to find my site out of 50 full
listings. And, yes, I do receive calls from people who contact me while
on the Find A Coach system before searching out my official website.
One of the reasons that I'm
compelled to write about this now is that I am frequently approached by people
and organizations looking for coaches. Of course, after considering my
personal coaching network, I go to Coach U's International Coach Directory and
search for coaches who meet their requirements before going to the ICF's Coach
Referral System and general search engines. Sometimes I have people in
mind who I believe would be a great fit for the opportunity only to realize
that they don't have a listing on either of those directories, an official
business website or an *updated* official business website. Coaches, if you
want more clients and coaching opportunities, you need to make yourselves
available and present a professional appearance!
If you are interested in driving some traffic to
your website, keep the Find A Coach system in mind. This referral
service costs $375 USD/year and is only open to students and graduates of
Coach U and
Corporate
Coach
U.

Best
wishes,
Jennifer Corbin
