Mini Home Repair
A few days ago I noticed the handle on my bathroom door was not turning properly. When I looked at it closely I saw the side screw simply needed to be tightened. Instead of going to get the screwdriver out of the toolbox I told myself I'd get to it later. The next few times I needed to shut the bathroom door it was annoying because the knob was not turning correctly. I even wasted time trying to tighten it with a pair of tweezers. Still I didn't go get the screwdriver. Then I was in the bathroom when the knob came undone and I was stuck in the bathroom! I wasted a bunch of time before finally getting out. Only then did I go to get the screwdriver, but they little screw had rolled away. So now I had to go to the home repair store to buy a box of screws when I only needed one, I wasted time and money! But you'll be glad to know the doorknob is back on and working great. How many times have you put off a simple home repair? Did it turn into a larger repair? Or did you waste time, money and energy on it? Many times taking care of it in the moment or that night makes a lot of sense. So what small task can you do this week? Or is it a bigger task and you need to call someone to help out? So for this weeks challenge instead of spending another minute dealing with it, try taking care of it this week, I bet you'll be glad you did.
