Help for All Those Receipts
Welcome to this week’s Clutter Challenge. At this time of year we’re all busy, so I want to make this week’s tip not only short and sweet but super helpful. So I thought as we’re all heading out to the store to shop there’s no better topic than receipts! It wastes time to have to search for a misplaced receipt for a return or to wrap with a gift. Plus returning an item without a receipt may cost us money because without proof of payment you may not get the full refund. Then there is always that pesky reconciling of the account when we’re supposed to confirm correct charges and credits. This is much easier if we have all the receipts. So this week I’m going to suggest we solve the receipt dilemma by placing an accordion style coupon holder into your purse. Shop at home, you just might have a spare coupon holder you can use. If not grab an envelope and start with that. Label each tab with a store name or a category of stores, for example: clothing, toys, gas, groceries etc. Tuck all the store receipts in the envelope as you get them, do it right there in the line, if you wait chances are they’ll never make it in. This is also a great storage solution for the store's coupons and store credits. Now you’ll have them at your fingertips when you need them. I hope you’ll try this solution, it really works!
