What's in Your Utensil Drawer?
This weeks challenge is all about making your life easier! The kitchen is the heart of the home and when the kitchen runs smoothly the rest of your day flows a little better. So this week how about we clear out the utensil drawer? Instead of having the drawer get hung up on a rarely used potato masher or one too many ladles how about clearing out the unnecessary items? For this weeks challenge grab a clear shoebox and pull open the utensil drawer. Go through the items, keep one of everything you use daily or weekly in the drawer, put the extras into the box and store it nearby. Now when you need a pizza cutter or measuring spoons youll be able to find them easily. Oh and be sure to think about how useful the item is. Sometimes gadgets are more trouble than they are worth, feel free to toss or donate the junky ones and the ones that sounded like a good idea at the time. Lastly be sure you actually use the item. When you serve pizza do you use the pizza cutter? If so its a keeper, but if you use a knife then you can let the cutter go. Once your utensil drawer is pared down youll be able to find what you need when you need it and that makes life easier. I know you can make the time to get through one drawer this week, until next Monday have a clutter-free week, Jamie PS Wondering what's in my utensil drawer?
