Five Speed Cleaning Tips
I don’t know about you but anytime I can save when cleaning means more fun time in my day. So for this week’s challenge I want to share with you five things I do in my own home that really save me time: 1. I added a 25-foot extension cord to my vacuum cleaner so it can all the rooms in one section without taking time to move the cord from room to room. 2. I use a can of compressed air (available for blowing-out crumbs from computer keyboards at office-supply stores). It cleans out the tiny grooves on my kitchen and coffee tables, where crumbs love to hide. And in a pinch it’s a fast way to dust furniture. 3. Dryer sheets run along the baseboards help to repel dog hair and dust. 4. Rainex, meant to keep rain off car windshields, applied to shower doors keep them spot free much longer. (Use caution: rainex is slippery so do not get it on the tub floor.) 5. I’ve learned that using more product does not make it cleaner it only takes more time to clean. I now use a more appropriate amount of cleaner that means I’m saving time and money. Bonus tip: something else I do is to wear gloves; I tend to clean faster when I don’t worry about touching yucky stuff.
