More Room Instantly... make a station today!
I did not have to look far for inspiration for this week's challenge. I found it when I went to put my drinking glass away in the kitchen cabinet and it would not fit! I peered inside only to find two new promotional mugs (picked up at the grand opening of a local bank) in the spot where my glass usually sits. It was then I knew I needed more cabinet space, immediately. Instead of buying an additional free standing cabinet to solve my space dilemma I decided to make a station. I pulled down the mugs that would be used for tea or coffee and placed them with the tea bags and coffee filters. Now I could open one cabinet to make a hot drink and my everyday drinking glass got it's home back. It took just a few minutes, I did not do a major overhaul, I just made a simple change that got me back space immediately. So for this week's challenge how about you make a station? Maybe a drink station for hot drinks, a travel mug station or a food wrapping station or maybe even a leftover station so you can go to one place to pack up leftovers. If you have a bunch of stations and still lack space try pulling out a single large but rarely used item like a bread machine and storing or elsewhere. See how much space you can free up in about five minutes, I bet you'll surprise yourself! Until next Monday have a clutter-free week, Jamie
