Speed Clean Like the Pros
Whew the July 4th BBQs are over (for this year) but unfortunately the mess may not be over. If you had guests I bet you spent a fair amount of time cleaning before they arrived and now you may be asking yourself why? With everyone in and out of your kitchen and bathroom you need to clean all over again! I hope a few of these speed-cleaning tips will help:
Tip 1: Keep all your cleaning supplies together. Quick and easy access to the best supplies to get the job done makes it a breeze. Stop spending all cleaning time just looking for the supplies.
Tip 2: Turn up the volume. Playing your favorite songs can make any icky job more fun.
Tip 3: Eat the toad. By that I mean clean your least favorite room first. Use that first burst of energy to do the worst job first. Not only will you feel great to have it checked off your list but also if you lose steam later the worst will already be done!
Tip 4: More is not always better. Youd think that if a little glass cleaner is good then a lot must be better, that is so not true. If you overdo the cleaners you end up cleaning the cleaner, which is a huge waste of time (and product.)
Tip 5: Top to bottom and wet to dry. Have you ever wondered what to clean first? Well now you know, the pros say start at the top and work your way down to avoid dripping on what youve already cleaned. Also start with the dry-cleaning the more you can clean with a dry cloth or vacuum the less you have to wash.
Last tip: Put your supplies away. If you have any hope of ever finding your supplies again the next time you are ready to clean you need to put them away now.
Well thats it for this week, I hope you get a little cleaning in but more importantly I hope you have a fun week! Until next Monday have a clutter-free week, Jamie
