2 - STATEGIES TO CREATE SUCCESS IN THIS CHANGING MARKET

Tips that came out of Coach Patti's annual "Jumpstart Into The New Year Workshop" concentrating on awareness, goal setting, planning and zapping what gets in the way.

Just when we think we have the ideal market condition and it will last forever, the market changes, customers needs and expectations change and we suddenly are not creating the results we expect and require for our own success. Goal setting is a conflict with the status quo. You cannot change the market, yet you can change what you do in any given market condition. The quote "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result" is a perfect illustration. So not to create insanity, let's reevaluate what we are doing and change them to work with the current market condition to achieve the results we want.
Unlike the stock market, housing is not an option. While people do not have to buy shares of stock, they do want shelter, thus there is a continuing market for Real Estate. The need for housing is ongoing.
The only thing constant in the universe is change. You are either going forward or backward. So embrace change as a good thing. Just because the market place has changed don't let you or your business go backward.
1. RESPOND NOT REACT TO THE MARKET.
You cannot change the market. You can change what you do and when you do it in any market.
2. PICTURE YOURSELF AS A PROBLEM SOLVER AND GIVE EXTRA VALUE.
You want to be the one people seek out. What makes you the most valuable is being the person who knows how to get the job done. Find out what's important to the possible customer and help them solve their problem to make it happen.
3. BE PROACTIVE.
Do not wait for business to come to you. You'll miss 100% of the opportunity's you don't take. It's a numbers game. Create more exposure for yourself. Call everyone you know and ask them "Who do they know that would like to take advantage of the opportunity to buy or sell today." You'll be surprised at the response.
4. EMBRACE REJECTION
If you don't experience some rejection, then you might not be working hard enough. Learn from rejection and take corrective measures. "NO" means "NO" for now.
5. NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT ACTION.
Circumstances can stop you temporarily, only you can stop yourself permanently. What you are afraid to do is a clear indicator of what you need to do.
6. GO BACK TO THE BASICS.
Strengthen up your selling skills. This is not the time to "wing it"
7. QUALIFY, QUALIFY, QUALIFY!
Do not work with someone just because they are breathing. Qualify for the ideal client. The non-qualified client is a Psychic Vampire that sucks your energy in a negative way, so you have little or energy left to do the things you ought to do to be successful.
8. ZAP ALL PSYCHIC VAMPIRES.
Get rid of anything that drains your energy in a negative way. Do it, ditch it, or delegate it.
9. GET A GOAL AND KNOW WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU.
Know where you are going. If you don't, you won't get there. You'll get somewhere, yet it might not be where you want to be.
10. GET A PLAN.
Your plan is a blueprint to your destination. A successful builder doesn't build a building without a blueprint. Create your plan and work your plan. Break it into baby steps and schedule the steps. Trying to do everything at once will cause you to do nothing at all.
11. POSITIVE ENERGY AND EXCITEMENT IS ATTRACTIVE AND IT SELLS.
Take time to renew your energies daily. Create luscious habits to keep you renewed, and strong. Nothing happens until someone gets excited! If your not excited about life and what you are doing, what's the point?
12. GET SUPPORT!
A coach concentrates on the solutions not the problem. Implementing solutions is where success comes from. Get a coach to help you keep your head in the game when you want to check out! Successful athletes have coaches. It's an odd thing about human beings, often the only way we can see ourselves from the outside and in context is through the eyes of someone else.
