One of my goals this year, in addition to inspiring millions of people to live out their dreams, is to have more fun. It is easy to get so attached to the goal that life becomes too heavy and significant. What does fun look like to you? Check out this month's article for more info. Thanks again to all of you who responded to our last survey Dreams for 2005 and Beyond. The winners of the drawing are listed below. In response to your needs we have created some great teleclasses/coaching groups that you can participate in from wherever you live. We have groups for entrepreneurs, wannabe's and career changers to support you in living out your dreams as well a group for the young adult in your family who doesn't know what they want to do with their life. And we have a great new resource to share with you as well. In future editions, I will start writing a book review each month, so if there is a book you would like me to review, email me and I will consider it. (Non-fiction only). Best wishes in living out your dreams, Stacey

How to Have More Fun While Living Out Your Dream
The last year was spent getting my book out in addition to maintaining my full time coaching practice. And while it was exciting, too much work and not enough play makes Stacey grumpy. While marketing the book still takes plenty of time, I am going for more balance this year. I have been wanting to travel to Europe for a long time and committed to making it happen in 2005. I found the perfect trip to Italy online and am signed up to go in September. (check out www.backroadtuscanytours.com). My husband and I are also getting ready to investigate ballroom dancing lessons.
What does fun look like to you? As children we played all the time. As adults, we seem to lose that child-like energy and get all too serious about life. You can have fun and live out your career dreams too. You can do this by bringing fun into whatever you do on a daily basis as well as by playing more during non-working hours.
Here are some tips for determining what is fun for you and integrating it into your life:
- Fun is different for everyone. Look back at your life to remember what you did in the past that was fun. Which of those things would you like to do now? If you don't want to do those same things, notice what the essence of those activities was. For example, when I was a kid, I painted plaster figures, now I just like to paint on a blank canvas.
I've had clients and associates choose things such as horseback riding, playing piano, travel to new and exciting places, take improv classes, join a chorus, paint, start a women's or men's group to have bonding time and more. Notice what feels good to you and do it.
- Continuously ask yourself the question, "What would feel good now?"
- You have to make fun a priority, just like anything else that is important to you. If you need to, schedule fun appointments with yourself in your calendar and stick to it as if it was a business meeting.
- If you work and have young kids (or even if you don't), delegate or hire out the domestic chores including cooking, cleaning, laundry so that when you come home, you can play with your kids. Loral Langemeier, single mom, financial coach and self-made millionaire is profiled in my book, "I Can't Believe I Get Pai.d To Do This" and is someone who is a great example of this.

Great New Programs for You
In our survey, you told us that the biggest things that get in the way of you living your dreams are your own thoughts and beliefs, fear of failure and clarity. Now we have created 2 new tele-programs that will address these concerns and many more. And the best thing is you can participate in these programs from your own home or office no matter where you are in the world - as long as you have access to a phone. Both are starting right away.
Living Your Dreams
Imagine your life down the road, when your latest dream has come to fruition. What will life be like then? What if it could happen faster and with more ease than you ever imagined possible? What if the journey were as enjoyable as the end result? What if you could break through old patterns and ways of doing things that keep you operating at the same level and begin to skyrocket to success?
In this companion program to "I Can't Believe I Get Pai.d To This" you will learn to implement the strategies of the extremely successful people in this book AND utilize the law of attraction to let your dreams soar.
Receive a 20% early bird discount when you sign up by this Friday (2/25). Led by Stacey Mayo, aka The Dream Queen. Email coach@balancedliving.com for more detailed information. Type "Living Your Dreams" in the subject line.
(Note: Coaches and trainers can become certified facilitators when you take this program)
Career Seekers (For Young Adults)
Imagine what it would be like to have a son or daughter with greater direction, confidence and a sense of empowerment. Save yourself the time, money, and stress associated with the uncertainty of your son or daughter's future plans. Help them avoid poor planning and choices.
In his new book "Ready or Not, Here Life Comes," Mel Levine points to a lack of preparedness in our young adult population to handle the transition between school years and working years. One of the factors he cites is a lack of inner direction in young adults. They don't know themselves well, aren't knowledgeable about setting goals, and haven't been encouraged to think about who they are, much less what they want to be when they grow up. Career Seekers addresses this issue. A companion program to "I Can't Believe I Get Paid to Do This!" Co-created and led by Hallie Crawford. Contact Hallie for more information. Next class begins soon: 312.451.5990, Hallie@balancedliving.com. Type "career seekers" in the subject line.
Coming Soon! Career Seekers II
For adults who don't know what they want to be when they grow up. To receive information on this program when it is available, email stacey.dreamqueen@gmail.com and type "Career Seekers II" in the subject line.
Letters from People Who Are Living Their Dreams: Testimonials!
Hi Stacey-
Bonnie Gramlich here. I am now living my dream - in no small part due to you and your efforts.. With my education, and surgeries behind me, I began working this week as a professional mental health counselor in Franklin, NC. will be working with middle and high school youth at a local alternative school and am very excited.. and nervous but mainly excited. It's been a long haul since I wasn't happy at my former corporate job - I know this will be very different and more fulfilling for me.
Thanks and hope you are real well!

Hi Stacey!
Wow. Something very interesting happened last night. The president of a small toy company called me and wants to meet to discuss the toy ideas I sent him in December. He invited me to the International Toy Fair in New York, and said he would even provide me with his companies credentials to get into the show. It's only for buyers and sellers (no visitors). That would be so cool. After two years of "inventing" things, I am finally starting to connect with the right people. It's very exciting. He said "Where have you been for the past two years? I've been looking for you." I told him to put me on his payroll. He laughed and said "I'm open to discussing that option in New York."
If I sound a little giddy, it's because I am.
Thanks, Stacey, for setting me on the right track. It's taken some time and a lot of work, (plus two babies and a major illness), but here I am, on the edge of achieving what I've been wanting!
Lots of exciting things going on all at once. I wanted to share it with you because you were my catalyst!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Julie Austin, President, Brainchild Inventions, Inc.

Interesting Fact About Immigrant Women Entrepreneurs
Overall, the US now hosts 563,814 immigrant women business owners, representing 8.3% of all employed immigrant women. And, unlike their male counterparts who have dropped in number since 1990, their numbers are growing. Over the course of the 1990s, the number of immigrant women business owners grew by 190%.
