How to Align with Your Desires
By Stacey Mayo
If you have been trying to attain wealth, a special relationship, passive income, perfect health, more joy or anything else with little progress or you take steps forward and then fall back again, you can be certain you are not yet in alignment with that desire.
This is not your fault.
You simply have not gotten to the core of the onion so to speak. When we "get to the bottom" of something - finding its "root" or "kernel" of truth - we are finally exposing that which is most shielded from view. And indeed, we all have things that are shielded from our conscious mind.
A prime example of this is when you shift one or more beliefs or doubts and make progress in one area but then a whole new layer of resistance shows up causing you to fall back again in that area or a different one. We often refer to this as self-sabotage. But that is a harsh term, as while we may observe this pattern we rarely understand why or know what to do about it.
It doesnt matter if you are trying to go from earning 10K to 20K, or from $100,000 to $ 1 million or from dating to a long-term relationship, or being sick to being healthy or being overweight to being fit and trim or anything else.
To determine what is at the core you have to be really honest with yourself AND MORE. Many of the thoughts and beliefs in the way are buried at a deep subconscious level. So you may think you desire something and believe you are worth it. But if it is not coming yet, there are conflicting beliefs that are buried.
So what to do? The best place to start is at a conscious level and then probe deeper. Focus on that thing that continues to elude you and ask yourself some questions. Here are some to start with:
- Do I really want ____ at this point in my life?
- Do I have some concerns about having it at this point in my life?
- Do I believe that having ____ conflicts with something that is of higher value to me?
- Do I have any fear about having it now or in the future? Do I believe I can handle it?
- Am I concerned about being judged for having this?
- Will I lose relationships? Will I get too much attention or not enough attention? Will people need me too much or not enough? What am I afraid of losing if I get this quality or thing?
The list goes on
.
Sometimes all you need is the awareness that you attracted what you got or didnt get due to your beliefs.
Sometimes you can do EFT on a belief and it will disappear.
Sometimes you have to sit down and consciously search and find your beliefs, and then choose to let them go as you insert new ones in their place. There are some exercises to help with this in the Living Your Dreams Guidebook.
And sometimes it makes sense to hire a Coach to help you get at the core of what is in your way, and to help you shift it.
The point, again, is that you and I are co-creating our reality with our beliefs.
If you havent attained your desires yet, its not your fault and its not anyone elses fault. Think of yourself as a computer program that may have bugs and viruses you can delete the old program and rewrite it. Additionally, our internal programs automatically update over time as events happen in our life. Those new updates may cause you to function better and faster or improperly, perhaps at a slower speed than you would like. It is up to you to decide whether to keep them or delete them and replace with better updates.
This will greatly increase your likely of attaining your desires and even more importantly, enjoy your life more.
Notice if there are beliefs conflicting with your desires. Noticing is the first step to shifting. If you are not sure, get some support. Remember much of this can be subconscious.
NOTE: If a belief, disempowering thought, disease, or anything else you dont want disappears temporarily and then comes back, that is a sign there are other toxins that are reversing you these may be toxic thoughts or beliefs, emotional traumas, toxic foods or toxic people. I can help you get to the bottom of this and release it.
I am now using bio-energetic processes, in addition to emotional energy techniques like EFT, Psych-K, and ZPoint guided by my intuitive coaching to help you get at the core of what is stopping you from having great health, relationships, wealth and more and shifting that. Miracles are happening. If interested in working with me on any of these areas, sign up for a complimentary phone consultation here to determine if this is a good match for you and your situation.
A Sense of Purpose
I love when stats come out to validate what I have been saying for years. There was an article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution this past Sunday which quoted a job satisfaction survey conducted by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. Based on survey results, the most satisfying jobs are professions that involve caring for, protecting or teaching others and creative pursuits. The group queried 27,500 random works in 198 occupations between 1988 and 2006. Members of clergy were most satisfied with their jobs with 87% says they were very satisfied with their jobs. The satisfaction rate among all works was 47%.
Physical therapists and fire fighters ranked second and third. Other occupations in the top 10 were education administrators, painters/sculptors, teachers, authors, psychologists, special education teachers and operating engineers.
Job satisfaction, they said, comes from intrinsic values such as doing work that matters, is creative , helps others and provides an opportunity for life long learning.
The article played down the importance of money in job satisfaction. However, I believe you can have both -- - career fulfillment and earn the amount of money you desire. That you don't have to be Mother Theresa to have a fulfilling career (or be a member of clergy). But I do believe that having a sense of purpose is very important for many people, along with your career being a good match for your skills and in a work environment that is conducive to your personality.
Are you ready for a more fulfilling career?
