Welcome to all new subscribers: Happy Holidays! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday season and thinking about some of your goals for 2006. My first full year in Hawaii was incredible. For those of you wondering if it's possible to live in Hawaii without turning into a beach bum, take a look at my lily white face for the answer! Seriously, I'm happy to say I enjoy the fun lifestyle in Hawaii AND I still love to work. No matter where you go, there you are. (as the saying goes). An ideal environment will bring out the best in you. That was my hope when we moved. It is possible to be relaxed and ambitious at the same time. Who knew? It's been a great year for me. I hope the same is true for you. If not, keep in mind it only takes a year to totally revamp your life.

I have a bee in my bonnet...a thorn in my side...a pea under my mattress. Yes, something's bugging me. Want to know what? I notice how many people continue to create problems in their lives, rather than creating something of greater purpose. I really want YOU to get to the point where your life is about CREATING. Are you there yet?

Life is a creative process. I truly believe that. You can create whatever you desire. I know this be true since I've done it in my own life. I've also coached loads of people to do the same. Do YOU view life as a creative process, though? Do you feel in charge of your own life or are you enslaved by your job, unfit body, creditors, messy home, lack of time etc?

Here's a theme I'd like to suggest you try on for 2006:

Personal Power (or Becoming a Problem Free Zone)

Decide to be powerful this upcoming year. Blast through all of your problems and start creating the life you dream about. I'll be honest, living with "problems" can be quite comfortable. Our problems keep us safe and stuck. We "can't" make changes since we're boxed in. You may want to start a business, for example, but if you have major CC debt you probably won't ever take the risk. The same is true for all of our problems. If you look at each one, you'll see how it's serving you in some way. Well, my friend, decide to blast through and become Wonder Woman or Superman this year. Be POWERFUL. Don't let anything or anyone hold you down.

As I look back on my own "THEMES" over the past years, I can see my own progression from the problem zone to where I am today. I spend most of my time creating. Moving past your major problems can be a freeing experience but it's also somewhat scary. Now what? What will I create next? More problems or something more purposeful? The latter is my focus at the moment. I am anti-problem. When I see a problem brewing, I cut it off at the knees. I simply know how great life can be without the heavy burden of a self created problem. So, I try really hard *not* to create them. I have better things to do than nurse a problem. Frankly, so do you. You just may not know what "it" is yet. Create the time and space to find out.

Aren't "problems" a necessary part of human existence? Can we ever truly become a problem free zone? That's a good question. Yes, I think you can expect to see a fair number of problems from now until your final days. However, I'd like to see you throw down your catcher's mitt and pick up a baseball bat instead. Rather than catching or holding onto the problems, get in the habit of knocking them out of the park...far, far away.

So, I ask you this. Are you creating PROBLEMS in your life or are you focused on moving past them so you can finally get to the juicy stuff? Is this the 8th year you've decided to start a fitness routine or remove debt? Have you been taking a 4 year running start with the mere notion of discovering your ideal career or gaining more clients? 2006 is the year to take flight. You are here for a purpose. Move toward your true purpose by finally solving your lingering problems. Become powerful. If something or someone has a grip on you, handle it once and for all in 2006. Get creative and keep thinking of possibilities until you land on something that works. Be relentless. You're in charge. You are more powerful than you may realize.
